HTML stands for H̶y̶p̶e̶r̶ ̶T̶e̶x̶t̶i̶l̶e̶ ̶T̶o̶i̶l̶e̶t̶ ̶P̶o̶r̶t̶a̶l̶ Hypertext Markup Language, which is a globally standardised text format for displaying content on the web.
